Gopal Naidu Higher Secondary School celebrated its 50th anniversary on August 30 with a grand golden jubilee event.
The celebrations commenced with the school's Secretary, Ravisham, lighting the ceremonial lamp and introducing the golden jubilee flag.
He also delivered a speech reflecting on the school's journey over the past five decades.
A video showcasing the school's achievements and growth throughout its 50-year history was presented to the attendees.
Teachers and former students were honoured for their contributions and successes during the event. The chief guest, renowned orator Bharathi Baskar, delivered an inspiring speech.
She praised the school's consistent reputation over the years, emphasising that while 50 years is an impressive milestone, the real achievement lies in the school's enduring commitment to quality education.
She noted, "The only humans who are not jealous of someone are teachers. We usually talk about successes and not failure, school is the place that teaches us how to deal with failure." She also highlighted the joy that teachers and parents experience in watching children thrive in school.
The event saw participation from Managing Trustee Vidya Prakash, Principal Soundararaj, AHM Jayakumar, along with students and teachers.
