Controversy has sparked again over the speech of the Tamilnadu Governor in a book release function in Chennai on May 5.The controversial speech accused the Popular Front of India as a dangerous organization, which supports terrorist organisations and sends terrorists to many countries.
Besides Popular Front of India, many Islamic organisations have opposed and condemned the Governor's utterance. Refuting the allegations, the Popular Front of India has said that the Governor was trying to divert the dissatisfaction of the people of Tamilnadu on him with blames that are untrue. "Can the Governor prove the charges leveled against us?", the organisation has questioned.
" It is disappointing that the Governor holding an important position has spoken like this which amounts to an attempt to intensify communal hate in society", said Thirumavalavan the Founder of Vidudhalai Chiruthaigal Katchi.
If an organisation is connected with terrorism, the Governor can inform the Union Government. If there is evidence the Union Government could have taken action. There are no two opinions that terrorism has to be uprooted.
The Prime Minister or the Home Minister could have spoken about the pan India organisation. What is the necessity for the Tamilnadu Governor to speak about it? This is the question posed by political commentators. Will there be a reply?
