Govt exhibition to be inaugurated on May 1 at Coimbatore

District collector Pavankumar K Giriyappanavar on Wednesday inspected the ongoing works ahead of the inauguration of the Government exhibition,  on Thursday at VOC ground in the city.
District revenue officer Sharmila, public relations officer Senthil Anna, corporation assistant commissioner Senthil Kumaran, district backward communities’ welfare officer Sangeetha and others were present at the event.
Speaking to reporters, the collector said that the public relations department is organizing a government exhibition to exhibit the welfare schemes and achievements of the state government, and the exhibition will be held for 45 days from Wednesday.
“As many as 33 stalls (29 government department stalls, and seven government-undertaking stalls) would be set up to let the public know about their schemes. 
The exhibition will remain open for the public between 4 pm and 9 pm on weekdays, and between 3 pm and 10 pm on weekends. Entrance fee is Rs 15 for adults, Rs 10 for children, and Rs 5 for students who are brought to the exhibition by their school managements,” 
he added.
