Govt issues order to allocate houses to differently-abled people

The Tamil Nadu government has issued an order to allocate houses to differently-abled people living below poverty line on priority basis.  The state government has directed the district rural development agencies and urban livelihood mission to identify eligible differently-abled people to distribute houses in rural and urban areas respectively. 

Upon submitting applications, houses would be distributed to them on priority basis.  The announcement was made by the Chief Minister MK Stalin during the assembly session.  Now, the government has issued an order directing the concerned officials to allocate houses on priority basis for the differently-abled people from poor economic backgrounds in the housing units of the urban livelihood mission. Of the total houses, about 5% should be allocated for the differently-abled people and only the houses on ground floors should be allocated for them, the order said.
