'Govt schemes strengthen mental health of women' in Pudukottai

TN government schemes improve the mental strength of women, said RS MP M.M.Abdullah.

He attended  the state-level 2-day seminar on psychiatry which started on Saturday on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Psychiatrists Association at Pudukottai.

He said in today's hectic environment, psychiatric  counseling is necessary for doctors also.

I have pleaded to the CM to set up a comprehensive psychiatric treatment center in the old Government hospital premises, he added. 

State President Dr. C. Panneerselvam presided over the inaugural function. Senior doctors Sr. Ramasubramaniam, V. Jayantini, Vijay Swaminathan, Malayappan, Director of Government Mental Care Department, State Secretary Dr. Sivasailam, President of District Psychiatry Association M. K. Saman, Dr. Karthik Deivanayagam, Public Relations Committee Chairman of the State Psychiatry Association, and Treasurer Sophia spoke.
