Govt to bear travel expenses of students going abroad for higher education

Chief Minister MK Stalin proudly announced that the education sector has been revitalised under the Dravidian model government. During an appreciation ceremony, he presented certificates and laptops to government school students who have achieved notable success.

The Chief Minister lauded 447 students who are advancing from government schools to universities in Chennai, Bengaluru, Uttar Pradesh, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Additionally, he issued job orders to 448 candidates in the school education department through TNPSC.

In his address, Chief Minister MK Stalin highlighted the progress made in the education sector over the past three years. He noted that 54 differently-abled students have been enrolled in higher education institutions. Under the Dravidian model government, Tamil Nadu has become a leader in higher education enrollment. The state's education system has been modernised, with question papers now available on the Nan Muthuvan website, reflecting a significant enhancement in the teaching process. The enrollment in colleges has increased by 37 percent, with a notable rise in female student enrollment attributed to the new women's programs.

The Chief Minister emphasised that students, given the opportunity, can achieve great heights. He praised Tamil Nadu students as intellectual assets and announced that 14 students will be joining educational institutions in Taiwan, Japan, and Malaysia. The government will cover the initial travel expenses for students going abroad for higher education.

Stalin expressed confidence that Tamil Nadu government school students will excel in various fields, including space. He stressed that students should remain focused and undistracted during their studies.
