Graduation Day at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women

The Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, Dr. G. Ravi, distributed degree certificates to 1800 undergraduates and 570 postgraduates, including 46 rank holders, at the Graduation Day held at the PSGR Krishnammal College for Women here on Saturday. The Principal, Dr. P. Meena, administered the pledge to the young graduates. Dr. Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson, presided over the ceremony.
Addressing the students, Dr. Ravi said that the objective of education was to create men and women who were capable of doing something new and not simply repeating what the earlier generations had done. Education was the most important tool to survive in the world and it had the potential to provide solutions to all problems, The student-teacher relationship in the campus environment facilitated a better perspective of the subjects and knowledge at a level beyond what could be attained in private study.
Dr. N. Yesodha Devi, secretary of the college, proposed a vote of thanks.
