The Graduation Day Ceremony of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, was held yesterday. Dr. K.Alagusundaram, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu Food Processing and Agri Export Promotion Corporation (TNAPEx), Chennai, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson, Dr. P.Bharathi, Principal and Dr.N. Yesodha Devi, Secretary of the college were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Alagusundaram congratulated the graduating students and stated that they should feel fortunate to graduate during this point in time, when the country is developing fast and the students must utilize the emerging career opportunities. He added that by 2050 the country’s GDP is expected to touch an estimated figure of USD 30 trillion.
Praising the college’s infrastructure and the student’s discipline he said it is one of the best he has visited and the students should take pride in the fact that they are graduating from such a prestigious institution. He said while jobs may come and go, one’s degree will always be with them.
He said that the graduating students will always be known as students of the prestigious institution.
He said that students should introspect about their future plans on the occasion. He emphasized on the importance of being mentally strong for being successful in life. He also urged students to think and dream big.
The Chief Guest distributed the degree certificates to 48 rank holders and 2,732 students of the UG 2020 and PG 2021 batches.
Earlier Dr. Nandini Rangaswamy, delivering the welcome address said, that the day marks the beginning of a future for the graduating students, filled with promise and potential. She further added that the college has always aspired to provide education that empowers, enlightens and transforms, fostering not only intellectual growth, but also compassion, integrity and purpose.
Dr.Yesodha Devi proposed the vote of thanks on the occasion.
