Handloom Day celebrated

National Handloom Day was celebrated by the government all over the country on Sunday including at Chennimalai Indira Weaver Cooperative Society.

Indira Tex Chairman A. Ravichandran presided. Manager Sukumar Ravi welcomed and spoke. Chennimalai East Union DMK in-charge C. Prabhu attended the function as a special guest. 

They honoured handloom weavers by presenting handloom clothes and offered sweets. Mugasipidariyur panchayat council vice chairman Satish alias Subramaniam, former Union Councilor CK Arumugam, DMK executives Thoppukadu Murugesh, Press Anand, Koilpalayam Jambu and many other handloom weavers were present. Alli Murugan delivered vote of thanks.
