The PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PSG IMS&R) celebrated its 33rd Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday at the institution’s auditorium, marking a proud milestone for the new generation of doctors stepping into the noble field of healing and service.
The ceremony began with an invocation, followed by a welcome address by Dr. T. M. Subba Rao, Principal, PSG IMS&R & Hospital. Shri L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG Institutions, presided over the event and, in his presidential address, emphasized the institution’s steadfast commitment to excellence in medical education, research, and compassionate healthcare.

Prof. Dr. Girish Raj, Dean of MES Academy of Medical Sciences, Kerala, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He conferred degrees upon the graduates and, in his address, urged them to uphold ethical values, pursue lifelong learning, and treat every patient with empathy and respect.
The Oath of Hippocrates was administered by Dr. Tolstoy R, Professor of General Medicine, symbolizing the graduates’ pledge to serve with integrity and dedication. Dr. J. S. Bhuvaneswaran, Director of PSG Super Speciality Hospitals, delivered the Charge to the New Graduates, inspiring them to uphold professionalism and compassion in their medical careers.

Dr. Sarvajit V. Narayan, who was honoured as the Best Outgoing Graduate, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of his peers, thanking the faculty, parents, and institution for their guidance and support throughout the academic journey.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. G. Sumitra, Vice Principal (Academic Affairs), followed by the National Anthem. Faculty members, parents, and well-wishers attended the ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the graduating class of 2025.
Through this milestone event, PSG IMS&R reaffirmed its mission to nurture competent, compassionate, and socially responsible medical professionals dedicated to improving community health and well-being.
