Health minister Ma Subramanian inaugurated the AJK nursing college that was constructed in the premises of the institution at Navakkarai in the city outskirts. Head of AJK educational institutions Ajith Kumar Lal Mohan presided over the inauguration ceremony. Addressing the gathering, the minister said, “I am very happy to inaugurate the nursing home. Employment opportunities have been increasing in the nursing field and first priority has been given to students from Tamil Nadu in European countries.
The main reason for it is the humanity taught and practiced at nursing colleges. Government would soon start nursing colleges in all the districts. We have already sought permission from the union government for the same.” Deputy director of health services Aruna, CMCH dean Nirmala, corporation deputy mayor Vetriselvan, Dr Kandasamy, AJK college principal Brinda, panchayat vice chairman Senthil Kumar and others attended the event.
