Heavy rain predicted in 23 Districts today

The Meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms is expected at several places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal regions on Friday. 
The department has predicted heavy rainfall in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Salem, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai in Tamil Nadu. 
As far as Chennai is considered, light to moderate rainfall is expected in a few places. Maximum temperature of the city would be 35 to 36 degree celsius and minimum temperature of the city would be 26 to 27 degree celsius, according to the department.
