Hillside Heroes: St.jude's Public School dominates in cricket at Nilgiris

The Nilgiris district witnessed an action-packed display of cricketing dexterity as the Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd. organised the U-15 Inter-school T-20 Tournament. This year’s edition conducted by the Nilgiris District Cricket Association, sought to unearth the region’s promising cricketers for the year 2024 – 2025. 
The tournament witnessed participation from 6 schools in the Nilgiris District. The matches were filled with thrilling climaxes and remarkable individual performances. 
SJPS battled their way, and their league victories earned their spot in the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Crescent Castle locked their horns with SJPS and SJPS emerged victorious after a fierce battle. 
In the finals, SJPS took on Lawrence, registered a commanding score and won the grand finale with its exceptional perseverance and determination. 
Kanishk Prabhu of SJPS won the Best Bowler of the Tournament award for his dominant bowling phases.
Madhan Vengat, also from SJPS, won the Man of the Match award and the Best Batsman of the Tournament award for his consistent run-scoring. 
The Principal of SJPS, Dr. Saro Dhanarajan, lauded the determined efforts of the coach, Mr. Leo Christy and the team.
