HMK plans to stage stir on Cauvery issue on Oct 14

Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) decided to stage state wide stir on Oct 14 to press Karnataka to release water to TN, said the party president Arjun Sampath.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that the resolution passed in the Assembly condemned the Centre on the issue instead of the Congress rule in Karnataka. As per the order of the SC and Cauvery management authority, Karnataka should release water.

He wanted caste wise census in TN to collect datas as the SC itself permitted the state to do it. He however opposed reservation on the basis of such census. In fact, reservation is unnecessary in the present computer era in which all students studied well.

He wanted the SC to take action on sports minister Udayanidhi Stalin for speaking in the manner of abolishing Sanadana dharma which is nothing but Hindu religion in a meet. He converted to Christianity. So, he has no locus standi to criticize other religions. HR and CE Minister Sekarbabu performed Shastiyapptha Purthi ritual in his 60 years of age as per Sanadana dharma only. But, he was misguiding public that he restrieved Rs 5200 cr worth temple lands and opposed Sanadanam.

He welcomed ED raid on DMK MP Jagathratchagan and attachment of benami assets of another MP A Raja as the cases were pending for many years. He demanded similar action against Udayanidhi Stalin and Sabarisan. The raids are not politically motivated. The money looted from public and amassed in Swiss banks should be recovered from politicians.

As against the policies of MGR and Jayalalithaa, Edapadi K Palanisamy demanded release of those who involved in Coimbatore bomb blast cases to lure Muslim votes. But, we oppose release of such terrorists.

He flayed actor Vijay fans for indulging in violence. He should advice his fans to act in disciplined manner as advised by Ajith and Rajnikanth. Milk abhishekam to his cutouts should be banned.
