Ahead of 78 Independence Day celebrations, students at Isha Home School paid tribute to 78 influential Indian personalities by setting up a “Living Wax Museum.”
A total of 40 stations were set up, with 2 students participating at each station.
The personalities represented spanned various fields, including politics, sports, traditional dance, and education, and included both historical and contemporary figures.
Prominent national leaders such as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Indira Gandhi; musicians like M S Subbulakshmi, Ilaiyaraaja, and S P Balasubrahmanyam; scientists such as G D Naidu, C V Raman, Homi Bhabha, M S Swaminathan, and Nambi Narayan; as well as iconic women achievers like Velu Nachiyar and Rani Mangammal, were among the 78 Indian personalities featured in the museum.
Each station was equipped with a button that visitors could press to hear the students narrate details about the influential figures they were portraying. Parents, students, and special guests were invited to experience the museum.
Shobha Viswanath, author and owner of 'Karadi Tales Publishing House,' attended as a special guest. Sharing her thoughts, she said, “This living museum was a thoughtful expression of creativity and learning. History was brought alive by the impressive efforts of the students and teachers of this school."
