BJP state president K Annamalai cautioned that if INDI alliance comes to power India will disintegrate and questioned why DMK rule didn't fulfil its poll promise of carrying out Thirumanimutharu-Cauvery link project to expand irrigation facilities.
While addressing En Mann En Makkal yathra at Paramathivelur on Tuesday, he also questioned why minimum support price for cane was not hiked to Rs 4000 per ton, the arrears of canegrowers were not yet settled, jaggery and betel leaves producers of the segment were not helped suitably as assured in the manifesto.
The betel research center was also shifted from here to Coimbatore TNAU as against the wishes of ryots. The rulers felt of Rs 3 lakh cr budget, 20 percent can be obtained as commission.
They hoped a part of it can be given to the voters to come to power again. Compared to the UPA rule, BJP rule offered 350 percent more fund, totalling Rs 10.26 lakh cr to TN.
But the CM said the Centre didn't give Rs 89000 cr during the past 19 years including DMK-Cong rule in 10 years. In the Kuppuchipalayam, an aged couple was murdered for jewels.
Similar murders and crimes were on rise in the state. In Perambalur Collectorate, DMK men attacked police and officials yesterday in getting mines contract.
Petrol bombs were hurled on Governor's Raj Bhavan. So, the law and order situation is in bad shape.
Now, the DMK rule approached SC that the Governor didn't sign in 13 bills. Of them, 12 bills were related to make CM as VC of 12 varsities and 1 for abolition of NEET. As per the norm, politicians cannot be made VCs. DMK promised to give jobs to 70000
persons per year. But, it offered jobs to 12000 persons only for the past 2 and a half years. Age limit was existed for appointing TNPSC chairman post.
So, Governor didn't accept the bills. But, the DMK rule hid such facts and approached the SC. Without speaking facts, the DMK spoke against Sanadanam to divert people's attention and spoke in the HC that he (Annamalai) did politics by raking up Sanadanam.
The ministers in the UPA rule involved in Rs 12 lakh cr corruption. So, the then PM Manmohan Singh refused to give minister post to TR Balu. Mamtha Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, and Arvind Gejriwal who opposed Congress joined hands in the name of INDI Alliance.
Minister Duraimurugan said Congress government in Karnataka looked TN as enemy.
But the DMK aligned with Congress. To oppose Neet, SC should be approached.
But, Minister Udayanidhi roamed with an egg in his hand to wipe out Neet.
If INDI alliance came to power, India would disintegrate as the parties in the alliance have different ideologies.
He cited various achievements of Modi rule and said only because of such rule, many terrorist outfits were under control, he noted.
