Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Ginger Coimbatore Airport on Avinashi Road, expanding its portfolio in Tamil Nadu.
The new property, featuring 68 rooms, follows the brand's "lean luxe" philosophy, offering a blend of modern comfort and efficiency. Located next to the airport, the hotel is well-positioned for business and leisure travellers, with proximity to key business hubs like Tidel Park and Chil SEZ IT Park.
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President at IHCL, highlighted Coimbatore’s growth as a smart city with improved infrastructure and connectivity, noting the city's appeal to both corporate and leisure visitors. The Ginger Coimbatore Airport includes amenities such as the all-day dining restaurant Qmin, a fitness centre, The Bar, and a conference room.
With this new addition, IHCL now operates 18 hotels in Tamil Nadu, with two more under development. Coimbatore’s emerging role in IT, education, and healthcare further enhances its appeal as a destination.
