Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil), the country’s leading energy major, has been honoured for its outstanding contribution to road infrastructure development in
Tamil Nadu.
The award was presented at the 2nd Annual Conference of the Tamil Nadu Highways Contractors Federation, held as part of Conex South 2025 in Chennai from August 28 to 30.
The recognition was conferred by Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, in the presence of Public Works Minister Thiru A.V. Velu, MSME Minister Thiru T.M. Anbarasan, senior officials of the Highways Department, contractors, and industry stakeholders. Mr. M. Annadurai, Executive Director and State Head, TNSO, received the award on behalf of IndianOil, along with Mr. Vivek Goyal, Chief General Manager (IB),
TNSO.
IndianOil supplies nearly 60 per cent of Tamil Nadu’s bitumen needs, delivering about 400 TMT annually. Officials highlighted that the company’s consistent supply of quality bitumen has been crucial for the state’s road expansion and modernization projects.
Industry representatives and the Contractors Federation lauded IndianOil’s customer-first approach, efficiency in operations, and close coordination with contractors, which have ensured uninterrupted supply across
Tamil Nadu.
This recognition further cements IndianOil’s position as a trusted partner in the state’s infrastructure growth, playing a key role in building durable and world-class road networks.
