International Tai Chi Conference in Kovai

Coimbatore-based Nitya Gurukula is hosting the International Tai Chi Conference – ‘ITCC 2024’. Over 400 participants are expected to take part in the 4-day event being held from September 19th to 22nd, 2024. Keynote by Dr. Paul Lam, an internationally renowned Tai Chi master will be a highlight of the conference. 
Briefing the press about the conference, Sashi Chandran, CEO, Nitya Gurukula said that Tai Chi is an ancient form of exercise that originated in China that is akin to a moving meditation that harmonizes the mind, body and spirit. 
She added that the ITCC 2024 event welcomes Tai Chi practitioners, wellness enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning Tai Chi, to participate in the conference, which is being held with the theme ‘ Wholeness & Wellness in Relationships.’
Introducing Dr.Paul Lam, she said that the global Tai Chi leader is the Director of the Tai Chi for Health Institute, Australia and that the event will offer an unforgettable experience for participants, with his insights on Tai Chi’s role in nurturing good health and enabling harmonious relationships. She added that around 10 million people globally have benefited from his offline and online Tai Chi classes. 
As someone who has been practicing Tai Chi for over 20 years, Sashi Chandran mentioned that it is like an ‘internal martial art’, which offers a host of physical and mental health benefits. 
Briefing the media, Kartikey Shukla, Master Trainer said that Tai Chi helps reduce stress, improve balance, relieve joint pains, and improve mental clarity. 
Slyvia Das, another Master Trainer while speaking on the occasion stated that Tai Chi helps develop self-control and its holistic approach can help provide several health benefits.
