Is Iran preparing for nuclear war?

The Sweden-based Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has published a comprehensive report on nuclear weapons. The report says that India is developing missiles that can carry multiple nuclear bombs at a time. In the last couple of years, China has developed 100 new nuclear weapons, increasing the number of nuclear weapons it holds to 600.
Nine nuclear power countries have 12,241 nuclear weapons, and most of them are owned by the United States and Russia. Of these, 3,912 are already mounted on missiles, and kept ready for attack. Countries like Pakistan and North Korea are working on increasing their nuclear weapons.
The report was published amid the ongoing conflicts between Ukraine and Russia; Iran and Israel, and India and Pakistan. The revealed data is not something we should be proud of. It denotes the increasing danger of nuclear arms, and it is alarming. Not just that, it also raises concern on steps taken to control them.
Iran has been actively engaged in nuclear research. Though the country does not deny it, they claim that they don’t have nuclear bombs. But countries, especially Israel and the US are claiming that Iran is close to developing nuclear bombs.
Amid this, Israel attacked Iran’s military facilities on June 13, claiming that Iran was developing nuclear bombs. As a result, four of Iran’s nuclear sites were destroyed, and nine senior scientists were killed. In retaliation, Iran announced its decision to withdraw from the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. It has raised concerns that it may use nuclear weapons against Israel. It has created a worrisome situation that Iran may actually engage in nuclear war against Israel.
