The job of distributing tokens and applications to beneficiaries at their door steps began on Wednesday, according to Mr. P.Shankar, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Project and Monitoring Officer, Salem District.
On Wednesday, Mr. Shankar inspected the special camps set up in various locations throughout Salem for the Women Entitlement Scheme, and he held meeting with all departmental officers involved in the scheme's execution at the collectorate.
Addressing the officials, Mr. Shankar said, the Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has announced a special project called Kalaingar Women Entitlement Scheme and direct monitoring the of activities of the project is underway by paying special attention and carrying out various measures in order to ensure proper implementation of the scheme.The application registration camps will be held in the first phase on the July 24th. In this regard, ration shop workers will visit houses from today (Thursday) and distribute tokens with application. Revenue, Cooperative and Police Department should work in this work. It is very important that all the officers and employees involved in this work should know all the details related to this project, said Mr.Shankar.In case of doubt or clarifications, the higher officers should be contacted immediately. As all the data of the public are already complete, all arrangements have been made to ensure that the work is carried out accurately and transparently like the election process. All Deputy Collectors and Thasildars should personally inspect the camps organized for this purpose in their area. Starting from the field workers involved in this work, all level officers should work with full commitment, said Mr. Shankar.
