Erode Junior Chamber Nexus branch organized a grand children’s walking race “Kidathan” at Erode Chikkaiyah Government College. Housing Minister S Muthusamy and Erode Municipal Deputy Mayor Selvaraj were present as the special guests and distributed prizes to the participants.
The association president Monisha and secretary Chandran said 1700 children from two years of age participated in this competition under 5 categories. All the participants were given certificates, medals, T-shirts, etc. With the money collected from this event, the association will provide all the expenses for special training in their respective sports field to 5 government school students every year till they pursue higher education. So far, 10 children have been selected.
