Kalakshetra has launched its Carnatic Choir, "Gita Kala Samanvayam"

Kalakshetra, a bastion of Indian classical arts heritage, proudly unveileditsCarnatic Choir as a centrepiece of its 120th Birth Anniversary celebrations honouring its esteemed founder, Rukmini Devi Arundale. On February 28th, the inaugural event, titled Kalakshetra Carnatic Choir - Gita Kala Samanvayam, also commemorated the centenary of the revered M. D. Ramanathan, a stalwart of Kalakshetra's music faculty, whose profound impact continues to resonate within its hallowed halls.

The Gita Kala Samanvayam promises an exploration of the rich tapestry of South Indian musical genres, facilitated by Kalakshetra's esteemed training methodologies and pedagogical approaches.
