Kongunadu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore, celebrated its College Day on February 28, 2025, at the Marappa G Aruchami Auditorium with a grand ceremony featuring academic achievements, cultural performances, and inspiring speeches.
Dr. CA Vasuki, Secretary and Director of the college, presided over the event, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and cultural values over the past five decades. She highlighted the college’s extensive academic offerings, including 24 UG, 14 PG, and 14 research programs, and noted its prestigious recognitions, such as the College of Excellence award by UGC, an A+ grade in NAAC accreditation, and a 52nd rank in the NIRF rankings.
The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Nachiketa Tiwari, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur, who encouraged students to integrate knowledge across fields to foster innovation. He also discussed the importance of language in shaping India’s intellectual and cultural heritage and urged students to embrace continuous learning.
The Principal, Dr. V Sangeetha, presented the Annual Report for the academic year 2024-2025, highlighting the institution’s milestones and student achievements.
The celebrations also included cultural performances, prize distributions, and recognition of outstanding students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by V Dharshini, followed by the National Anthem.
