Five young Innovators viz. R.Harini, Varshan Mohan, Jacob Thekkekara, S.Satheesh and S.Shrinivasan have been selected for sanctioning of grant amount of Rs.46.75 lakh from TBI at Kongu Engineering College (TBI@KEC) under NIDHI PRAYAS Scheme for developing ideas into prototypes.
As on date, a total grant of Rs.328.25 lakhs have been sanctioned to 39 Innovators (including five women) under the scheme (a maximum of Rs.10 lakh can be availed for a project). V.K.Muthusamy, President Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust (KVITT), P.C.Palanisamy, Chairman-TBI and Secretory - KVITT, P.Sachithanandan, Correspondent-KEC and Dr.V.Balusamy, Principal-KEC presented the sanction order and 1st installment cheque to the beneficiaries. Ason date, TBI@KEC has sanctioned Rs.8.18 crore as seed / grant to 76 beneficiaries under various funding schemes.
15 Patents have been granted out of 32 filed. TBI@KEC provides a golden opportunity to budding entrepreneurs to convert their ideas into reality.
