Kisan Mela and Mega Credit Outreach Programme Celebrated in Salem by Bank of India

Bank of India organized a grand celebration of Kisan Mela and a Mega Credit Outreach Programme in Salem. The event witnessed the participation of around 250 members, including farmers, SHG groups, customers, and bank officials.
The function was chaired by Smt.Shampa Biswas- HO General Manager, along with Shri Ranjeet Kumar, Zonal Manager Coimbatore and Shri Siva Subramanian A, Deputy Zonal Manager Coimbatore. During the event, sanction letters were handed over to 35 customers of Rs.5.50 crores and Rs.24.10 crores disbursed during Kisan Mah Campaign, highlighting the bank’s commitment to support the agricultural community and promote inclusive credit access. The programme also focused on creating awareness about various agriculture-related financial schemes offered by Bank of India, including SHGs Loan, KCC, Krishi Vaahan, Farm Mechanisation, Kisan Tatkal, Kisan Ghar and Animal Husbandry schemes. These initiatives are aimed at empowering farmers by providing timely financial assistance for vehicles, emergency needs, and livestock-related activities.
The event marked a significant step in reinforcing the bank’s role in rural development and its continued efforts toward the upliftment of the farming community.
