Fifty percent of Cardio vascular fatalities are caused by sudden cardiac arrest which occur mostly at home or in public places. Without immediate first aid, many people die on the way to the hospital. If CPR, a life-saving first aid, is administered in a timely manner, these deaths can be prevented, and priceless human lives can be saved.
KMCH conducted a first aid training program to raise awareness among the TNSTC Drivers and Conductors. The program was held at TNSTC Pollachi Training Hall on Tuesday, the 8th, October 2024.
Doctors demonstrated to the TNSTC Drivers and Conductors how to provide appropriate first aid to save a person’s life when their heart suddenly stops functioning before taking them to the hospital. This practical first aid training was jointly conducted by KMCH.
Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman and Managing Director, KMCH stated that if someone has a sudden cardiac arrest, it is most chance to save their life by performing CPR first aid. KMCH continues to conduct many such events to spread awareness about this simple training to the public. KMCH has emerged as the leading emergency care hospital in this region, he further added.
