KMDK opposes LBP Canal Concrete Project

KMDK party's state general secretary and Thiruchengode MLA ER Eswaran appealed to the government to reconsider the concretisation plan in the LBP main canal.

After paying tribute at Theeran Chinnamalai memorial, he said that the farmers say that there are various defects in the Kilibhavani canal concrete project.

Therefore, the project should be reconsidered. In Gujarat, new projects have been developed as an alternative arrangement without putting concrete in this way. The authorities should consider it. 

The canal rehabilitation work should be carried out without affecting the farmers. Athikadavu Avinasi project was established at a cost of Rs1600 crore rupees. 

The officials  said that the project will be completed last December. But it was not yet completed.  I also spoke about this in the Assembly. 

The Chief Minister should intervene in this issue and complete the project without delay. The government should take steps to ensure that the farmers are not affected when high tension power towers are erected on agricultural lands.He said that the imposition of GST tax on foidgrains will affect the people and hence the tax should be withdrawn.
