Former editor of AIADMK’s mouthpiece ‘Namadu Amma’ Marudhu Alaguraj to appear before the special team formed to investigate the Kodanad dacoity-cum-murder case.
In 2017, unidentified persons had committed dacoity after murdering the security guard of Kodanad estate bungalow jointly owned by the former chief minister J Jayalalithaa and her aide Sasikala.
In connection with it, a case was booked against 11 people including Kanagaraj, Sayan, Jamsheer Ali and Manoj.
A few people who were suspected to be involved in the case, had died in accidents within a few days.
Subsequently, a special team was formed under the supervision of Sudhakar, Inspector General of Police (Coimbatore range) and former AIADMK MLA Arukutty, driver of Jayalalithaa Gunasekaran and businessman Senthilkumar were interrogated.
The special team had sent letters to AIADMK party cadres asking them to appear before the team for inquiry. The letter was also sent to former editor of Namadhu Amma Marudhu Alaguraj. He is to appear before the team on Saturday.
Alaguraj is one of the cadres who were expelled from the party, after former chief minister O Panneerselvam was removed from the party. He is a supporter of Panneerselvam.
