Kovai Kuttralam which was closed due to heavy rains and floods has been reopened.
One of the main tourist attractions of Coimbatore district, Kovai Kuttralam is located at the foothills of the Western Ghats. 
The forest department bans tourists from visiting the spot due to occasional flooding.
Due to heavy rains and floods, the Forest Department announced that Kovai Kuttralam will be closed on June 26.
After 2 months, the Forest Department has announced that the tourist spot will reopen from today as the flow of water in the waterfall has stabilised.
This announcement has made the people of Coimbatore happy.
