The Lamp Lighting Ceremony was celebrated by College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences Coimbatore.
Dr.S.Girijakumari, Principal, welcomed. Shri. R. Sundar, Managing Trustee, S.N.R Sons Charitable Trust presided. He emphasized integrity, resilience and commitment towards Nursing profession.
The First year B.Sc Nursing students pledged to follow the path shown by Florence Nightingale by lighting lamps and taking oath as a mark of entry into the nursing profession. The Nightingale lamp was lit and passed on to the students. The Florence nightingale pledge was administered by D.Girija, Chief Nursing officer, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore.
The chief guest and alumni Dr.K. Jaeny Kemp, Ph.D (N) Nurse entrepreneur & Former Vice President, TNAI South Region emphasized that the student nurses should work with compassion, competence, confidence, conscious and commitment to render nursing care to the patients.
