Land grabbing Complaint lodged in SP office

A differently abled person  Sudhakar and her mother A Rajamani of Thiruchengodu complained at the Erode SP office on Friday seeking action on a finance firm owner of Solar, Erode, for grabbing their 59 cent land, costing Rs 1.20 cr, at  Andipalayam, near Thiruchengodu, for the loan amount of Rs 14 lakh, obtained by them from him, nearly 2 years back. In a petition, they said that they obtained Rs 14 lakh loan for doing some business due to fund crisis during corona period. 

In this regard, the financier registered their land in his name and assured to return it once they remitted Rs 14 lakh principal and Rs 6 lakh interest. 
 

After repaying Rs 13 lakh, he prepared to pay the rest of the dues nearly one year back and sought his land. But, the financier required another Rs 25 lakh to give the land. So, when he lodged a complaint in the Erode taluk police station, the financier agreed to return the land within 20 days once Rs 25 lakh was given by them. 

Though he prepared to pay the amount, he did not return the land for the past one year. One month back, the financier transferred the land to his close relative's name who transferred it to the name of another person 4 days back. 
 

The said financier, who is said to be a functionary Udayanidhi  fans club, threatened them for reclaiming the land. So, they pleaded to the SP to give due protection to them and take steps under the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003 and restore the land to them. Additional SP Kanakeshwari received the petition and assured to do the needful.
