Land to MSMEs @ Subsidy Rate:Stalin in Tirupur

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday inaugurated projects worth Rs 167.58 crore and a regional conference related to MSMEs in Tirupur on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said, “Through the Tamil Nadu industrial investment corporation limited, the state government has distributed loans worth Rs 2013 crore to 2092 industries in the last one year and of which, 99% of the industries belong to MSME sector.”

He said that his government has been taking steps to provide lands to MSMEs at a subsidized rate.
The government has been successfully implementing the ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ scheme that was started with the intention to develop all aspects of the students, across the state to develop the skills and to provide guidance to the students, he said.  

We will have to improve our technology in this fourth industrial revolution period and the state government has joined hands with multinational companies to develop the required technology, Stalin said, adding that the state government would be starting an export guidance centre at each district industries centre at the earliest. 

In the web portal that was launched last year, the government has received 10,555 applications from MSMEs and of which, 9,212 i.e., 87% of applications were processed, he added. Earlier, he had inaugurated an industrial conference titled ‘Thol Koduppom Thozhilukku’ in Tirupur district and visited the stalls. MSMEs minister

M Prathap participated in the event through video conference.
