Traffic was disrupted for 2 hours due to another landslide on the Kadambur Hill Road.
It has been raining heavily in the Kadambur hill area next to Sathyamangalam for the past two days. Due to this, the Highways Department removed the landslide and rolled rocks at Ponparai on the road from Sathyamangalam to Kadambur on Tuesday. Following this, vehicular traffic was allowed on the Kadambur Road on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, due to rain again on Wednesday, a landslide occurred at Idukkiparai on the Kadampur Road in the evening and large rocks rolled and fell on the road. Due to this, traffic was again disrupted between Kadambur and Sathyamangalam. The Highways Department, which received information, started the work of removing the rocks lying across the road with the help of a Bokline machine.
