LBP canal repair works to be completed within 2 days

Housing Minister S Muthusamy informed the repair works in the LBP main canal near Perundurai would be completed within 2 days and water would be released for the LBP ayacut on Saturday, while inspecting the repair works on Thursday evening.

Breaches were occurred on both sides of the canal on Dec 10. Measures will be taken to provide compensation to the farmers after consulting with the government regarding the crops submerged in water, he said.
