Let's be careful about New JN.1 Corona variant

Kerala had the first detection of the JN1 variant of corona virus, which is a sub-strain of Omicron in our country. Ten states and union territories already have 196 cases of this virus reported to medical professionals. According to statistics, the JN1 type corona cases in various states are: Kerala (83), Goa (51), Gujarat (34), Karnataka (8), Maharashtra (7), Rajasthan (5), Tamil Nadu (4), Telangana (2), Odisha (1), and Delhi (1). The JN1 virus is the one that spreads the fastest, according to the World Health Organization. The virus has been quickly spreading over the past few weeks in a number of nations, including Singapore, the US, and England.
The federal government has instructed the states to exercise caution when it comes to JN1 infections, even while corona infections are on the rise in our nation.
In this instance, the nation had seen 636 cases of corona infection in the last 24 hours. As a result, 4,394 more patients are receiving therapy.Three persons have died in the past 24 hours, two in Kerala and one in Tamil Nadu. Up until December 5 of last year, there were double digits fewer new patients each day.
However, with the approach of winter and the new strain of corona, the daily number of new cases has surged once more.
Following the Union Government's warning, the Tamil Nadu Government has also started preventive measures.
Tests have been increased. The neighboring state of Kerala has a high prevalence of JN1 infection.
