The 11th International Yoga Day was observed with great enthusiasm at Maharishi Vidya Mandir school in the city.
The event was aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being through yoga, aligning with this year's theme of "Yoga for one earth and one health "
School principal Anitha Ram inaugurated the event M J F Lions Dr Aravind Kumar, Governor; Aravinden Pracharac, RSS Tiruvannamalai District; Lions Jaya Prakash, founder of Swami vivekananda mission; and Banu Nivethitha from Sister Nivethitha mission took part at the event as chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Anitha emphasized the importance of Ashtanga Yoga and encouraged both teachers and students to integrate yoga and the divine technique of meditation, as blessed to us by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, into their daily lives.

The event commenced with an early morning session of yoga exercises, led by certified yoga instructors. Students from various grades participated in asanas and pranayama.
