Mahila Court permits Medical Team to hold inquiry in Ovum donation case

Following plea from the health officials, Erode Mahila Court allowed them to hold inquiry with 4 persons, who were held in connection with a complaint lodged by a16 year old girl of Erode that she was forced by them to donate ovum in different hospitals, on July 4.

The girl's mother, mother's second husband, a broker Malathi and a driver John who created fake aadhar card were kept in different jail and the police and health officials held inquiry with the hospitals. 

The girl was kept in the government home at RN Pudhur. The girl wanted to go to her grandma's house. Due to legal hitches,  her plea was not accepted.  So, 2 days back, she consumed phenol in the rest room of the home to commit suicide. She was rescued after treatment in Erode GH. 

So, officials decided to counsel her and submit a report in the court about her desire to somewhere else. Meanwhile, the health officials sought permission to hold inquiry with the arrested persons separately and it was permitted by the Mahila Court Judge Malathi.
