Mayor distributes uniforms to Women Health Volunteers

Salem Mayor A.Rama chandran, distributes uniforms and jute bags to 84 women volunteers selected under the "Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam" scheme.

The volunteers would carry with them medical kit with diabetes and blood pressure testing equipments. The women volunteers would visit door to door in all the sixty wards of the Salem Corporation and conduct tests. Treatment will be given under medical supervision.

The mayor called upon the volunteers to work with dedication and assured them of adequate support from the Corporation. T.Christuraj, Commissioner, Salem Corporation. M.Saradha Devi, Deputy Mayor, Dr.Yoganand, City Health Officer, Sathyavathi, Mahalir Thittam Officer and Sumathy, Mother and Child Care Officer were among those present.
