Medical camp organized in Thoothukudi

Thoothukudi government medical college along with Thoothukudi Aravind eye hospital and KAS Ramdas poly clinic organized free diabetics, blood pressure screening, eye care and general medical camp at Kamaraj college in the city on August 11. The camp was organized under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme (UBAS). Government medical college dean G Sivakumar inaugurated the camp. B Kannan, chief surgeon, KAS Sivakumar Ramdas, diabetic specialist, Gomathinayagam, ophthalmologist and other doctors were present at the camp. Principal J Poongodi delivered the keynote address while vice principal A Ashok presided over the camp. UBAS program coordinator J Nagarajan, assistant professor A Subhashini and others organized the camp.
