Tiruppur Collector T Christuraj headed a consultation meeting on June 26 regarding higher education counselling for self-financing arts and science colleges at the Tiruppur Collector's office.
In his address, the district collector emphasised the importance of ensuring that all 23,500 students who passed their class 12 examinations in Tiruppur pursue higher education. He highlighted various barriers that prevent students from continuing their education, such as financial constraints, lack of nearby colleges, and disinterest in studies. He urged the respective officers to identify these issues and take appropriate actions to ensure students can continue their education.
The meeting focused on counselling for arts and science colleges, with principals from these colleges in Tiruppur discussing the number of available seats and the processes in place to fill them. Many government officers attended the event.
