MGNREGS workers stage demo

More than  thousand 100-day MGNREGS project workers staged a demo in Sathyamangalam on Monday to condemn the officials forcing them to come and work early.

The workers from Sathyamangalam, Thalavadi, Bhavanisagar, Kadambur, Punjai Puliyampatti came to the Sathyamangalam Taluk office on Monday to condemn the officials for forcing them to come to work at 7 am in the Sathyamangalam area. Tirupur MP Subbarayan, former MLAs

P.L. Sundaram demanded working hours not be increased,  workers  stop registering their attendance online and register their attendance as per the existing practice and hike in the wage up-to Rs. 400 daily.
