Millet Chamber of Commerce constituted

NIRCA and Govt Of India together constituted the Millet Chamber of Commerce.  Dr. Sevak Vijay took over as Chairman of Commercial Agriculture. On this occasion, Dr. Manivel, Head of Department, NIRCA shared that Government of India has formulated a High level committee for Field Action Projects like Natural Medicine & Product Entrepreneurship & Agri Co-operatives under the Chairmanship of Dr. Sevak Vijay. 

United Nations General Assembly

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets, a proposition set forth by India and backed by 72 countries in order to establish the country as the Global Hub for millets. NIRCA is proud to support in creating awareness on the wonder food millet.  

We have organised a millet exhibition in Coimbatore on 9thJanuary 2023. It discussed the consumption of various traditional and modern millet based foods, he added.
Dr N Manavalan Principal, Govt Yoga And Naturopathy Medical College Chennai, Joint Director, Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine, Govt of Tamilnadu, joined the meeting via a video call explained  the benefits of Millets in modern day lifestyle and how to prevent lifestyle diseases with the help of millets and a balanced diet.
