Public Works and Highways Minister EV Velu inaugurated the Makkaludan Mudhalvar camp at the Ganapathi Mahal wedding hall in Kilsetpattu, Tiruvannamalai. He was joined by Deputy Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly G Pichandi, District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian, Additional Collector (Development) SA Rishab, and District Revenue Officer Dr. M Priyadarshini.
Minister EV Velu stated, "The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has launched the Makkaludan Mudhalvar project in rural areas to address the demands of 15 government departments that the public frequently accessed. Under the Dravidian model government, various excellent programs have been implemented to make government services accessible in one place. Through Makkaludan Mudhalvar camps in corporations, municipalities, municipal councils, and suburban areas, the government has received 9,04,000 petitions and resolved 8,04,000 of them.
Today, the Chief Minister's camp is being held in rural areas to benefit all panchayats in Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister has also launched a special program called Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam, where doctors visit people's homes to treat their ailments. In Tiruvannamalai district, 3,75,000 beneficiaries have benefited from this scheme. Additionally, over 8,50,000 people in Tamil Nadu have had their lives saved through the Nammai Kakum 48 Project.
Through the Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme, 25,453 petitions have been received through 45 camps in municipalities, and 13,528 petitions have been resolved. In our Tiruvannamalai district, 124 camps will be held in panchayat areas out of 860 panchayats." Following this, Rs 5,53,094 was distributed to 9 beneficiaries. Government department officials and local government representatives participated in the event.
