Tamil Development and Information Minister M. P. Saminathan inaugurated new projects at an estimated cost of Rs.2.62 crores in the Kundadam Panchayat Union of Tirupur District on Monday.
DRDA Project Director Ko. Malarvizhi presided.
The works were under the Chief Minister's Rural Roads Development and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme etc. He highlighted
many schemes including free bus travel scheme for women, women self help groups loan waiver, jewelery loan waiver, electricity connection to farmers, school child eye protection scheme, Chief Minister's breakfast scheme to benefit school children, pudumai pengal scheme, Kalaignar women rights scheme etc.
In this event, Darapuram RDO Mr. Senthil Arasan, Executive Engineer (Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation) Mr. Rajachandrasekhar, Assistant Executive Engineer Ms. Vimaladevi, Kangeyam Tahsildar Mr. Mailsamy, Kundadam BDO Mr. Suresh Kumar, Mr. Jayakumar, Assistant Engineers Mr. Karthik Raja, Mr. Lokeshkumar, representatives of local bodies and government officers attended.
