Minister Muthusamy kick-starts road laying work worth Rs 2.75 C

Housing board minister Muthusamy on Monday participated in the Bhoomi puja and inaugurated the road laying works from Periyanaickenpalayam till Athipalayam in the district.

The road that leads from Periyanaickenpalayam towards Coimbatore international airport and Saravanampatti was in bad shape and it has been one of the long pending demands of the public to repair it. The government has allocated Rs 1.75 crore to relay road from Kuppuchipalayam till Karungkuttai in Periyanaickenpalayam town panchayat and Rs 1 crore to relay road from Karungkuttai till Athipalayam in Idigarai town panchayat. In total, the government has allocated Rs 2.75 crore to lay five kilometers of road.

Periyanaickenpalayam town panchayat president Viswaprakash presided over the function that took place at GKD school in the city, collector Kranthikumar Pati, deputy director for town panchayats Duvaraganath Singh, district councilor Karthik, councilor Santhosh Kumar, executive officer Nandakumar, sanitary inspector Paramasivam and others attended the event.
