Housing Minister S Muthusamy appealed to 2 sections of ryots to settle their differences among themselves by holding talks on the LBP modernization project.Distributing 5 kg rice bag to over 200 families in 13th ward of Veerappanchathram, Erode on Sunday evening in connection with the former CM Karunanidhi's 99th birthday celebration, he said ''I have failed to bring a consensus with the warring ryots associations by holding talks. The Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan is dealing the issue.
If the row is between ryots and industries, a solution can be made. But here both the groups are ryots. So, I pleaded to them to resolve the issue among themselves.''
He said the rice will be given in all areas according to people's need. The late CM did a lot for the growth of TN. So, his statue was unveiled by the Vice President in front of the new Assembly building, built by him at Omanthurar Thottam. Whether shifting of Assembly to the building there or not is related to policy decision of the government.
