Ministers preside over the free marriages of 13 couples held at tiruppur

Tamil Development and Information Minister Mr. M. P. Saminathan and Minister of Human Resource Management Mrs. N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj presided over the free marriage of 13 couples on behalf of HR and CE department at Avinasi Arulmiku Karunambikai Udanamar Arulmiku Avinasilingesvarar Temple, on Monday. District Collector Mr. Tha. Kristharaj,  Mayor Mr. N. Dinesh Kumar presided. 
In today's wedding ceremony, Rs 90000 worth gifts including Thirumangalyam made up of 4 grams of gold were given to each couple. Following the announcement by the Tamil Nadu government that marriages will be conducted in temples for 700 couples at the rate of 35 couples per joint commissioner zone, today marriages are being conducted in temples for 304 couples in the first phase across Tamil Nadu.
