MK Stalin says, ''TN is fast growing''

Chief Minister MK Stalin distributed welfare aid worth Rs 588 crore to 1.07 lakh beneficiaries near Eachanari in the district on Wednesday.
Stalin is travelling to Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode to participate in both government and party functions. He left for Coimbatore from Chennai by flight on Tuesday night. He took part in the government function on Wednesday.

Speaking at the function after distributing welfare aid to beneficiaries, Stalin said, “I have visited Coimbatore five times in the last 15 months ever since the DMK government was formed.
The visits are nothing but the symbol of love that I have on you people. The function was organized in such a grand manner that it would be called even as the public conference and it shows how much trust people have in the DMK government. I could see the results of the upcoming elections on your faces.”

Praising the Electricity Minister V Senthil Balaji, Stalin said that the Minister achieves the goals that are set for him. He expressed his appreciation to all the government officials who worked along with the minister for the welfare of the district on behalf of the state government.
Pointing out that Coimbatore plays an important role in the import and export business of the state, he said that his government has distributed welfare aid to a large number of people from the city. He termed it as an achievement of his government.

“Tamil Nadu is growing fast in all the departments. The union government is keenly watching all the movements of the state government and planning to implement similar schemes in other states as well,” he said.

Claiming that he has been treating all the constituencies as his Kolathur constituency, he said that he had instructed all the 234 MLAs to prepare a list of ten unfulfilled demands in
their respective constituency and submit it to the district collectors. Steps would be taken to implement the demands under the ‘Ungal Thoguthiyil Muthalvar’ scheme as it would be extended to all the constituencies, he said and added that this scheme would be a model scheme across the country.
We do not belong to that group which proclaims to be helping the entire state after helping just a handful of them, he said, adding that welfare schemes would be implemented in all the areas without any discrimination or preference.

This is the first time, welfare aid to more than a lakh people was given at a time. The chief Minister then inaugurated projects of the public works department, corporation and electricity department worth Rs 272 crore for public use. He laid foundation stones to start works for 748 new projects.
