Modakurichi MLA inspects elementary school

Modakurichi MLA Dr. CK Saraswati  inspected the government primary school in Periyar Nagar of Muthugoundanpalayam panchayat, Modakurichi block on Wednesday. The locals told her the school has over 45 children 2 years back but now it has only 14 children due to lack of classroom.

The school building here is a privately owned rented building. Due to the lack of space here, they requested that a place be set aside to build a school with adequate facilities for our children to study. Then, the MLA said: there is no government land in Periyar Nagar area. So,  there is a problem. Efforts will be made to get a place with private contribution for this," she said.
